You’ll spend 3 days and 2 nights trekking Mount Rinjani, starting from Senaru Village, overnight at Senaru Crater Rim on the first night, then Sembalun Crater Rim on the second night, and ending at Sembalun Village. The summit (3,726 m) is attempted on the last day.
Overview
Experience Mount Rinjani’s spectacular summit and crater landscapes:
Day 1: Trek from Senaru Village (600 m) to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m). Camp at the rim with full views of Segara Anak Lake, Baru Jari Mountain, half of Lombok Island, and the three Gilis. Enjoy sunset over Bali and prepare for sunrise.
Day 2: Trek down to Segara Anak Lake and hot springs (2–3 hours), relax, swim, and explore. Then trek up to Sembalun Crater Rim (2,600 m) (~2 hours). Overnight at Sembalun Crater Rim with incredible landscapes.
Day 3 (Summit Day): Start around 03:00 AM to reach the summit (3,726 m) for sunrise. Descend through the Savana area to Sembalun Village, completing your adventure.
This trek is challenging, but offers breathtaking views, lake and hot spring visits, crater rim camping, and the experience of conquering Indonesia’s second-highest mountain.

Senaru + Lake & Hot Spring Route (3 Days): Explore the lake, hot springs, and waterfalls without summit climbing.
Senaru + Sembalun Summit Route (3 Days, 2 Nights): For trekkers aiming for the summit with full adventure experience.
